Concentration of Mercury in Arctic Area Tends to Be Highest in World
Recent research subjected that a potential cause behind the increased levels of environmental pollution is termed to be an increase in concentration of mercury pollution, due to widespread of the metal pollution from smokestacks.
It has been warned that this pollution has drastically affected the food chain. However, it has been reported that the majority area to be affected by the toxic pollutant is Arctic.
Researchers demonstrated that the major reason behind the Arctic Ocean to be polluted tends to be circumpolar rivers, which act as a carrier of the pollutant to the northern part of the ocean.
